In two days, the new resort and gaming complex in Pagcor’s Entertainment City will open its doors to the public.
Solaire, located near SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City and set against the backdrop of the scenic Manila Bay, will hold its widely publicized grand opening at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 16.
Close to US$1 million will be spent for this day alone, said Solaire’s chief operating officer Michael French.
“It’d be nice if it’s only that. It’s going to be more than that,” French told journalists and bloggers on Wednesday, referring to their reported budget on opening day of P22 million. “It’ll be close to a million dollars, US. All of the events we planned that day would amount to that.”
“We offer a gaming experience that has a unique combination of east and west,” he added. “There’s the Las Vegas area downstairs that’s more fun… and the Macau-style area upstairs at the VIP area for very serious gamers.”
Unlike most casinos where guests tend to lose track of time while gambling, Solaire’s VIP area at the second level has floor-to-ceiling windows so they get a scenic view of Manila Bay.
There are also private gaming rooms complete with their own restrooms and dining areas.
